EQUIPMENT:  Our equipment and machines are used for filament winder fiber handling, fiber treatment, fiber processing and handling of all types of delicate fibers and wire in both an unwinding and rewinding mode.  The Helman Tensioner is bi-directional with unlimited take up (rewind ability).

MATERIAL: Some materials used are Aramid Fiber, Graphite, Carbon, Nextel Ceramic Fibers, Wire, and hollow filter fibers.

SPECIFICATIONS: The Helman Tensioner compensates for spool diameter, spool inertia and friction.  The Helman Tensioner will take up slack during static conditions.  It will maintain tension in a stall condition indefinitely or at very high speeds.  Helman Tensioners are  very accurate in both the take up and payout mode.  They are able to tension a 10 or 20 pound spool of fiber to over 20 Pounds OR tension as low as 1 or 2 grams.

TENSION RANGES The same tensioner that can tension at 1/2 gram can be set up to tension over 20 pounds.  The full scale tension range can be changed from 100 gram to 5, 10, 20 or 30 pounds by hanging a calibrated weight and re-adjusting the tension sensor feedback amplifier.

RELIABILITYThere are no idler arms, brakes, clutches or other moving parts to wear out.  Therefore, the tensioner (unwinder) is maintenance free and extremely reliable.  Typically, no brushes, bearings or any other replacements parts are needed for at least 20 years.

ECONOMICS
:   We have restructured our manufacturing process and lowered our prices almost 40%.  We now  provide not only cost effective but also the most accurate and  highly reliable, bi-directional, Fiber Tensioner unwinder on the market today.

ACCURACY:  The Helman Fiber Tensioner is by far much more accurate and much more responsive than any  magnetic or clutch, mechanical clutch, brake, air operated device or any device that uses idler arms.

WARRANTY The three year 100% warranty is extendable for up to 20 years.  All that is necessary is to have a one day service call and training session every three years.

Maintenance Free Life Expectancy is in excess of 21 years.
